Private Wealth, Trusts and Estates

The preservation, structuring and succession of private wealth require more than conventional estate planning. As family businesses and private wealth become increasingly international, families and their advisers require structures that provide for the orderly management, protection and transfer of wealth across generations and jurisdictions.

Our practice advises high-net-worth individuals, families, family offices, trustees, executors and beneficiaries on the structuring, administration and succession of private wealth. We advise on both the establishment of wealth structures and the legal issues that arise throughout their lifecycle, including succession, estate administration and contentious disputes.

With the development of Malaysia as an increasingly attractive jurisdiction for family offices and regional wealth structures, we advise families and family-office stakeholders on the legal considerations involved in establishing and managing structures for the preservation and intergenerational transfer of wealth, with an appreciation of the wider private wealth landscape across Malaysia and Asia.
